FILM PROJECTS

The following are video projects I’ve been involved with and have worked on in my time at Georgia State University.

The Elevator - Film Production

“The Elevator” is a short film my classmates and myself created for our Production class with Professor Robbie W Land at Georgia State University. Within it, it follows a college student walking through a mysterious elevator and experiencing something truly mysterious. This film was directed and pitched by Alisha Tan, shot and edited by Roe Greenway and myself, and starring all three of us. I served as a editor and cameraman for this project, and appeared as a hallucination of sorts within the narrative. For the editing process, I created our film’s rough cut through Final Cut Pro, my preferred NLE (non-linear editor) of choice, and shot it within the CMII and Centennial Olympic Park with my Sony ZV-E10 Alpha Camera.

Exquiste Corpse Production

This was a project in Production to demonstrate syncing audio and editing with multiple cameras and audio, as well as applying our own personal flare into the project. For this exercise, we recorded a classmate’s story on the set of a studio on three separate cameras while audio was captured on a boom mic. After receiving the footage, we had to sync the three different shot angles with the detached audio to construct the sequence effectively so it didn’t lack continuity or have weird issues such as the audio not matching our classmate’s lips. As a part of this academic exercise, I used Final Cut Pro to play around with the saturation, hue, audio, and video settings, as well as adding clips of Gravity Falls to add a more comedic effect.

Artlanta - Silent Film Production

“Artlanta” was another piece I worked on during our Production class, and the first project for this class. This project focused on various art pieces within Atlanta as well as on Georgia State University while also remaining as a silent film. No audio was heard through it’s screening and was entirely removed from the project to focus more on what was shown, not heard. This was directed and pitched by Taylor Palmore, and shot and edited by Taylor, myself and Primso Johnson.
